Sipho January aka Minilicious or CJ as many call him, was born in Johannesburg in the early eighties, he later moved to Graaff-Reinet where he spent 4 years of his primary education before relocating to Port Elizabeth where he continued his primary and secondary education at Mboniselo Primary School as well as at Masiphathisane Senior Secondary School. After completing his matric he registered with Rhodes University in Grahamstown, where he obtained his 4 year Bachelor of Journalism degree in 2005 and later (2007) he registered with the same institution for a single course (Sound technology/Sound engineering) which he  dropped later due to other commitments such as recruiting future journalism students around the South Africa, with Eastern Cape being the main target as well as his djing and his commitments to Radio Grahamstown (a community radio station). Currently he’s a Schools Media Outreach Projects Officer for Rhodes’ School of Journalism and Media Studies and coordinates a Future Journalists Programme (http://zajournalist.blogspot.com/)for Highway Africa (http://www.highwayafrica.ru.ac.za)At his own time he is a House Music DJ around South Africa.
